01 · About
One person, and that's the point

I'm Nathan Pearson. Stillworks is me. There's no team behind this page.
02 · What I did before
What I did before
I spent over a decade working as both an in-house and agency digital marketer, for international corporations, small local businesses and national enterprises.
Most recently I ran an agency with my (still) best friend, before he made the decision to move away from digital marketing and into something new.
Over time I realised I wanted to get back to doing what's fun: working with small businesses and seeing the impact good marketing makes for businesses fighting for attention in an unfair market.
03 · Why I started this
I got tired of watching good businesses get sold a strategy and left to execute it.
The deck is the easy bit. Anyone can tell a kitchen fitter he needs more content. Actually writing it, publishing it, keeping the listing current, checking what happened: that's the work, and it's the bit that quietly doesn't get done.
So Stillworks does the work. The name is the promise: the thing I built for you is still working, months and years later, because somebody's still looking after it.
04 · How I work
How I work
- 01On my own, deliberately. I use freelance help occasionally for overflow, a designer, a developer, and I'll tell you when I do. But the search work and the words are mine.
- 02Prices published, because making you get on a call to find out if you can afford me wastes both our afternoons.
- 03Reporting on money only. No impressions, no rankings-as-a-victory. If the honest answer this month is "not much happened", that's what the report says.
- 04Small on purpose. I'm not trying to be an agency. Eight to twelve clients I actually look after beats forty I don't.
- 05I don't work Mondays. That's childcare, and it isn't negotiable. I'll still pick up the phone and answer emails. The project work just happens Tuesday to Friday. Better we both know that now than find out in month three.
05 · What I won't do
What I won't do
- Take on two of the same trade in the same town
- Buy links, or anything else that puts your domain at risk for a short-term win
- Hold your hosting or domain hostage. They're in your name from day one.
- Tell you it's going well when it isn't
06 · Outside work
Outside work
I'm a father, a husband, the live-in concierge for two pampered cats and curator of a growing houseplant collection. I love nature, but I also love cities. Avid gamer, massive TTRPG fan, and currently making my way through the Dungeon Crawler Carl book series. Got decent book recommendations? Let me know.

What I charge, and how to reach me.
What I charge is on the page. Then say what the business is and what's not working.
